The Showcase
Year Levels: 7–12 | Duration: 10 sessions
Engage your students in a ready-to-go, project-based learning experience that builds creativity, collaboration and communication—without the pressure of social media.
The Showcase is a structured, term-long challenge where students work in teams to design, produce and present their own original piece of multimedia content. Guided by pre-recorded facilitator videos, students move through three competitive rounds, building their ideas step by step and gaining real-world skills along the way.
What Students Will Create
Each team will plan, script, and produce a 7–10 minute multimedia piece. This could be a podcast, interview segment, panel discussion, or short-form video. While the format draws inspiration from content on platforms like YouTube or Spotify, students won’t need to use social media or publish anything online—everything can be presented within the school context.
- Be 7–10 minutes long
- Include an interview with one or more guests (e.g. a teacher, parent, expert, or peer)
- Connect to a meaningful theme (e.g. The Future, Belonging, or Voices That Matter)
The team with the strongest overall presentation—based on creativity, teamwork, communication, and professionalism—wins a prize!

Program Information
- This program is designed as a term long program.
- This program is teacher lead, with TRIPOD providing all the teacher resources. TRIPOD can also come into the school to do a Kick-Off Event. A great way to start the program!
- TRIPOD provides student team kits and teacher packs, complete with all the resources required to run the program.
